I am a pretty good week although I had a deep cleaning dental appointment that didn’t go all that well, and I’m still swollen and sore. Still, I’m glad I got that done. And, we had some much-needed rain.
How about you? Did you have a good week?

Kim! We saw that ZZYXZ Rd Exit sign on our American road trip last summer! I had to look up my notes to be sure, and it was somewhere in CA, off of I-15. I wrote”what a crazy name”. Lol just looked it up and Roadtrippers .com calls it “California’s most mysterious weird town”. I wish we’d stopped, hahaha.
My week has been full of packing and moving, going nowhere but crazy in anticipation of what’s to come in my house. I wish I had the composition of DIYers like you!
Have a great weekend. I don’t like dental work!

Hi Kim, Love your blog ! love the pictures so much. I am a Dental Hygienist, and WISH EVERYONE would simply use the old fashioned way of brushing with toothpaste AND Baking Soda ….you will not have cleaning problems ever! Since you have a vintage heart, I thought you might like to know what I whole heartedly share with my patients !

I love that cottage with the deep, deep porch. (That neighborhood feels like where I grew up.) Front porches have been “out of style” for years, and I miss seeing them in the more new-ish communities. We don’t have a deep front porch, but many of the houses near me do. I can’t put one on the house we own, because it just wouldn’t go. I am, however, going to add some seating to the front yard eventually, so I can see the neighbors and the neighbors can see me!
