We’ve all been told to live in the moment — that each second we live is precious. Of course, this is good advice and so true. Because time does fly by, especially as we grow older.
I hope you have enjoyed my 52 week project for 2016. I know I have — it had the unintended (but welcomed) consequence of making me appreciate the entire year a bit more. It achieved a kind of slowing down if you will …
I’ll have to do another weekly or daily project again in another year. I already have an idea in mind and have actually started on it, but it will have to wait until 2018.
P.S. Many thanks to Embry Rucker for allowing me to share his wonderful photograph with the quote. The blurriness of the image did seem to fit.

Happy New Year! Hope to hear updates from you throughout 2017.
It is all about the moment…and the connections we make!! So enjoyed the series.

I’ve enjoyed your 52-week project. The quote was always interesting, and the photos were a welcomed sight. Thank you for doing it. Best wishes in the new year!

Thanks, Fonda! I’ll have to do it again another year. It was fun but a lot of work (as most things are).

Kim – A few of your posts especially – the one on gossip (a year or so ago) and last week’s on Christmas – touched me with their honesty. As I get older (I’m also childless), I’m more and more accepting of how I feel and respond, whether it’s to gossip or to holidays. It helps immeasurably to know I’m not the only one out there making their imperfectly human way through such times. Thanks for being willing to share your stories.

Thanks for letting me know that, Susan. I really try to be honest, but I have a tendency to be pensive and retrospective. I’m not a happy, happy, happy! sort of person, and I do try to not share my true feelings too much, simply because I don’t want to be a downer. However, your comment (and others) has encouraged me to share more of my “true”, imperfect self.
