When I first read these two sentences in Anthony Doerr’s book, I loved them so. At the time, I assumed I’d never find an image that would be fitting. Then I discovered M.G. Kafkas’ photograph.
I had planned to share another quote this week but decided to share this one instead. It seems fitting … if you believe, like I do, that this quote can be viewed both literally and symbolically.

That’s a beautiful quote and picture. It gives me hope. At the same time, I want to continue to speak up for what’s right because we have seen throughout history what happens when good men do nothing.
