I admit that purple is not one of my favorite colors.
However, I do find purple things that I do like from time to time.
How ’bout a round of applause for my first ever purple Friday Favorites?

Good morning Kim. I too am not fond of purple. Until I saw a bath done in purple, green and black hardware. It looked like a luxiourous spa. So I did one of my baths like this and it was stunning! But my purple ended there. Kudos to you for stepping outside your comfort zone.
Have a blessing filled weekend, Hope
Wow, really? Would love to see a photo of that bathroom (or yours). 🙂 Have a great weekend, Hope.
Kim, purple was my favorite color as a young girl… my birthday is in February so of course I had to like amethyst! 😉 However, I don’t usually decorate with purple, but these examples are lovely! Thank you for including my photo of the purple bottles.
Sounds very logical to me! January is my birthday so a garnet is my stone which is such a ‘eh’ stone. My favorite ring does have a garnet in it, however. I can’t think of a single thing in my house that is purple, but I sure can appreciate the color. My mom collects purple bottles and I’ve always enjoyed looking at them.
I used to love purples and it seemed every gift I received for years was that color. So now I am kind of burned out on it, and yet, can’t seem to get the word out to gift givers! LOL Love your pictures, as usual!
Oh my gosh. How funny. You sound like me and birdhouses. One year I said I liked birdhouses, so I got them for every gift imaginable for about 5 years.
OK – I will be the defender of the color purple! Although, I have to admit – it is only a relatively recent acquired taste (last few years). I actually made a new lavender duvet cover for my green spare bedroom just this Spring. As a child I absolutely despised lavender. Now I have a true admiration for all shades of lavender and purple; especially in flowers. And, I absolutely adore periwinkle!
Love your choice of the purple peppers !!!
Defend away. I am starting to like it, but I don’t think I’ll ever decorate with it. That being said, your lavender duvet cover sounds pretty. You should blog about that!
I am fond of purple only because it reminds me of my mother. Siblings, nephews and nieces all knew it. Even our Monsignor of our church wore his purple vestment cap for her funeral, saying, “Norma would have liked this”. She even smelled like the color purple. 🙂 Great photos. Panoply’s planning to hit the 127 LYS next week! Have a good weekend, Kim.
I can see why you like purple then, Rita. I have a very good friend who loves purple also. Whenever I see a purple something, I always think of her. Great job on growing your numbers! Have fun this weekend as I know you will.
I didn’t think I was a purple person either til I saw your post. Love, love those pillow cases.
I do too! I think my guest bedroom one day will be all kinds of floral prints. I’ve gotten to where I just love that look.
You did it again, I love purple now, and I didn’t know there were purple bell peppers – how fun. How a good weekend
I didn’t either! Hope you have a grand weekend, too, Heather.
Purple became my favorite color as soon as Donny Osmond said it was his favorite! But I really do love it. Mostly in my clothing, not home decorating. I didn’t know there were purple peppers either! Those are gorgeous !! Would really look great in a salad. Absolutely LOVE those pillow covers! Thanks so much for sharing.
Oh, how funny. I was in love with Donny Osmond, too, way back when . . . as well as other Teen Beat heartthrobs. I didn’t know he liked purple, though.
My older sister was a big Donnie Osmond fan and her favorite color was purple… for years, I think, lol! Like you, even though I don’t decorate with purple, I do wear it often.
Small world. Or smaller world back then anyway. 🙂
I used to have that same car, a Ford Galaxie 500 convertible. However, it was baby blue.
Don’t know if you know, but those old bottles are purple because they were made with manganese and the sun or light brings out the color over time, if I am remembering correctly.
I would love to show you a picture of my purple DINING ROOM! True purple. Not lavender. Not plum. Purple purple. Country Living magazine actually wanted to do a spread on it but I wound up selling that house before we could do it. Would have been so cool!
I never owned a Galaxie, but I did own 2 Mustangs when I was much younger. I still wish I’d held on to one of them. I had heard that the purple bottles were initially white and turn purple over time. I’d love to see a photo of your purple dining room! Maybe you’ll convince me to decorate with purple one of these days. 🙂
Enjoyed your purple photos, they were all neat and PURPLE………..lol
Very different and beautiful all in their own right!
Blessings, Nellie
