Once again I must apologize for being absent from the blog for far too long.
Believe me, it wasn’t by choice.
I’ve had a horrible time the last few weeks, recovering from my exposure to poison ivy. About 10 days ago, I finally said “uncle” and went to the doctor to get a cortisone shot and pills.
I would not wish that experience on anyone.
I’m trying to get into the swing of things again, and saw this wonderful illustration and quote. I am reminded again of my Mom’s scary illness and how all of us rushed to her bedside at her time of need. Since I have a large extended family, we all took shifts to be with her at the hospital. It’s during times like that that I remember to be thankful for a large extended family.
P.S. I pulled the quote and wonderful illustration from a book of quotes entitled Good Advice (an affiliate link). The illustration was done by the talented illustrator, Monica Sheehan.

Good call, getting the shot. I nearly passed out the last time I got one of those shots – vasovagal reaction, supposedly. Just sent you a PM – hope you get a kick out of it.

Take care, we hate to let little things get to us, but to some of us it is not a little thing, we are all different. I know you guys have got to be chomping at the bit to get back to good weather and some more demolition. So enjoy the rest now, you guys deserve it.
