Thursday is World Kindness Day.
Please join me in showing kindness more often. Even if it costs nothing, you will feel like a million bucks. I always do.
Need ideas?
If so, here are 20 random ones:
1. Take food or a monetary donation to your local shelter . . . or volunteer.
2. Adopt a homeless animal.
3. Offer to pick up groceries for an elderly neighbor, especially in extreme weather.
4. Cook or buy a meal for someone who’s going through a hard time.
5. Donate used books to your local literacy organization.
6. Offer to babysit for free.
7. Give your spouse a relaxing massage.
8. Volunteer at a homeless shelter or soup kitchen.
9. Thank a police officer, fireman, or someone who serves in the military.
10. Write an inspiring blog post.
11. Anonymously contribute towards someone’s movie ticket or grocery bill who is standing in line behind you.
12. Sew, knit, or crochet blankets or clothing for your local children’s hospital.
13. Buy reusable shopping bags and use them instead of plastic.
14. Donate blood.
15. Mow or rake your neighbor’s yard.
16. Make or buy a bird feeder and fill it often.
17. Put gas in someone’s car.
18. Pick up trash on the side of a road.
19. Donate your used coats.
20. Give the gift of a smile.
