Hope you have a wonderful and restful holiday weekend!
This is a lovely watercolor of an old church in New England.
I had to share this sewing tutorial. Someone may be getting one of these pretty aprons for Christmas.
When I shop for fabrics, I gravitate towards thicker home decor fabrics like this beautiful denim.
Isn’t this a pretty blue pie safe!
The title of this photo is “shabby soviets” which is think is quite symbolic and appropriate.
This is a reflection of a tree in a pond. Pretty neat, huh.
This piece of art entitled “I Am Your Mirror” represents an artist’s view of empty billboards, believing they reflect “fading dreams and new beginnings.”
This is one of the houses in Bluffton, South Carolina’s Wharf Street Redevelopment Project.
Adorable, isn’t it.
We’d love to one day be a part of a similar affordable housing project in East Texas.
Hi Kim,
I never tire of your posts, so simple and so interesting, I always look forward to seeing Living Vintage in my lists of email!
I was wondering if you know who makes the beautiful dishes in the blue pie safe. They are probably not in my budget but I LOVE them:)
Have a great day,
Christa
Wow, what a wonderful compliment. Thank you so much, Christa! Unfortunately, I have no idea who makes the dishes, and BH&G’s website doesn’t provide any information. So sorry that I can’t help.
we live in san marcos in an 1100 sq ft home
i think we could go smaller (700 or so)
i would love to move into one of these developments
this should be the future in housing
built in walkability
get to know your neighbors

You have perfectly captured in words and sentiment why we would want to be involved in constructing a pocket housing neighborhood.
hi Kim,
is there a link for the apron tutorial? I’d love to make for my shop and they look easy to do!
Thanks.
Judi, if you click on the image in the pin, it should always take you to the source website, in this case the tutorial. 🙂

the picture doesn’t take me to the tutorial. Thanks for posting this link.
Well, the pin didn’t work either, but I found it on the Purl Bee website. I’m not able to paste the link here for some reason. If you head to the http://www.purlbee.com and search for Simple Linen Apron, you will find it.
Thanks, Karen. The Purl Bee must have changed their URL after I pinned it. I fixed the pin. Glad you were able to find the tutorial. Thanks for letting me know!
I always look forward to your Friday Favorites!
Thanks so much, Laurel!
