Oh…that picture breaks my heart…I so wish we lived in a world where no one had to experience war…but since we don’t…thank you doesn’t seem to express the depth of my gratitude to our veterans.
That is a very moving image, it makes me want to cry with him. I’m so very grateful for our vets. Interesting that George Washington would say that, I wonder what he would think if he could see how some of the vets are treated today, in the USA as well as here in Canada.
A very small but thought provoking post.

My son is currently serving in Afghanistan. Thank you for remembering our service men. Not only is my son serving because of 9/11, my two son-in laws have served, plus three nieces and two nephews. Sometimes it seems like everyone has forgotten they are still fighting there so I appreciate your post very much.
Very moving image, although the quote is a quote mistakenly attributed to George Washington. While Washington was concerned about the treatment of veterans, this quote is not one of his, according to the people at the Mount Vernon organization. http://www.mountvernon.org/educational-resources/encyclopedia/spurious-quotations

I totally agree with you.
