How has your week been? We’ve been working around the house doing home projects, plus we’ve been working on our lumber order. I can’t wait to share our progress with you! Also, I’m starting a new series about collecting that’s so fun! I’m going to spend at least one day writing this weekend, so (cross my fingers), I’ll get everything done that I want to.
In the meantime, how about a little inspiration? I really like this week’s selection and hope you do too.
The restoration of this old freeman’s cottage dating from the 1890s.
Love the idea of repurposing an old chicken nesting box as a planter.
This photo touched my heart in a major way.
Is this wall amazing or what? Look closely and you’ll see the double doors.
What a comfortable home decorated in white and brown.
I love the bookshelves in the background, made with reclaimed wood. We have wood like this in stock and for sale, by the way.
Shoes, anyone?
Wood scraps + typography = a project I love
Have a great weekend! Even if it’s raining (like it’s expected to here, I hope it’s fabulous!)

Do you feel your rain gutters and tank were a good investment? How do you use the water?
Kim says
Yes, we sure do. The rain gutters were existing when we bought our place. We use the rainwater for our garden.

I’m new to your site and loving it! Thanks for the link to New World Byzantine. Wow! Their designs are amazing – it’s so good to see modern designers using beautiful traditional materials and methods.
